Massage FAQ’s

What type of Massage do you offer?

We offer a variety of massage styles including Deep Tissue, Swedish/Relaxation, Prenatal, Sports Massage and Ashiatsu. Please note not every therapist does each one of these services. Some styles may be offered by different therapists.

Does Massage Therapy hurt?

Massage should never feel unbearable. Some techniques - especially deep tissue - can feel intense, but it should always stay within your comfort level. Communication with your therapist is key, and pressure can be adjusted at any time.

Is Deep Tissue better then Relaxation Massage?

Not necessarily. Deep tissue focused on chronic tension and deeper muscle layers, while relaxation massage promotes stress relief and nervous system regulation. Both are beneficial but one does not outweigh the other. Surprisingly enough, you might like deep tissue however your muscles will respond better by doing relaxation or a medium firm pressure!

Can I use a Stretchd Out Buffalo Gift Certificate for a Massage?

Unfortunately, no. All of our Massage Therapists are independent contractors and charge their own individual prices and are completely separate from Stretchd Out Buffalo. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have.

How often should I get a Massage?

This depends on your goals. For pain relief or recovery, weekly or bi-weekly sessions may be ideal. For general wellness and stress management, monthly massage is a great maintenance option.

Is Massage safe during pregnancy?

As always, you should always check with your medical provider for clearance for massage. Once you are cleared, you can absolutely do massage! However, it is important to know you are unable to do massage until after your 1st trimester is completed.

Will I be sore after my Massage?

Soreness is normal, especially after deep targeted work. This typically resolves within 24-48 hours and is a sign your body is adapting and healing.

What is the Massage Therapists Cancellation Policy?

All cancellations are subjected to a 24-hour cancellation policy. If a cancellation is not done within 24 hours of the FULL 100% service fee will be charged. All no-shows will be charged 100% of the service fee. We know this sounds a little harsh, however we are a small business all individually working hard to make a living, your late cancellation makes a bigger impact then you think. Please be mindful of all our workers here at Stretchd Out Buffalo. Repeated cancellations may result in us asking you to not return to Stretchd Out Buffalo and all contractors/employees in our space. (We never want to have to do that so please just respect our time as much as we respect yours!)
